Our goal is to contribute to the fields of neuroscience and regenerative medicine by improving in vitro disease modeling to enhance the prospects of autologous cell replacement therapy.

Current projects utilize human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) lines from patients to model psychiatric disorders (e.g. autism and schizophrenia) and investigate underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms. 

This work emphasizes a broad range of techniques from RNA sequencing and genome editing to functional assays in in vitro and in vivo models.
